What the report contains

Machinery check, £29.00

  • Theft check against The Equipment Register
  • Whether the machine is on the register, and the reference
  • A plain line on finance: searched or not searched, and why
  • Report on screen and as a PDF by email
  • The supplier answers by hand. Its stated time is within 30 minutes in working hours, within four hours outside them

Every section of the report shows its source and the time it was read. Where a record could not be read, the report says so and says why. It never prints a blank.

Where to find the number

Tractors, excavators, telehandlers and trailers carry a 17 character PIN on the maker's plate, usually on the chassis near the cab or the hitch. Older machines carry a shorter serial number. Type whichever the plate shows. If the machine has a CESAR mark, the CESAR number is fine too.

How this check works

The Equipment Register has run since 1995 and answers each check by hand. Its stated time is within 30 minutes in working hours, Monday to Friday, and within four hours outside them. Your report is emailed the moment the answer lands, and the report page updates with it.
