Every report names its sources with the time each one was read. This page is the same list with what each one costs you directly.
DVSA MOT History API
Every MOT test since 2005 in England, Scotland and Wales: date, result, mileage, advisories and failures. Northern Ireland tests are held by the DVA and are not included.
Free to you at check-mot.service.gov.uk. Free to us with a key DVSA issues after review.
DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service
Tax status and due date, SORN, CO2, Euro status, export marker, last V5C issue date.
Free to you at gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax. DVLA closed new registrations to its data service on 23 September 2026, so until a key is issued the report says this section could not be read.
Experian AutoCheck via One Auto API
Outstanding finance, the insurers' write off register, the police stolen vehicle marker, keeper changes, plate changes, high risk markers. No government body publishes these.
Paid. This is the part of the report you cannot get free anywhere.
HPI Vehicle Data API, cap hpi
The same finance, theft and write off questions from a second supplier. The site can be switched between suppliers.

The Equipment Register
Theft register for plant, farm machinery and trailers, by serial number or PIN, since 1995. Answered by hand.
